Embodied NVC foundation training – Dancing with Life, Greece

July 5, 2019 - 12:00 am

We meet in a small comfortable hotel, close to the beach on Mount Pelion, in Greece, to dance learn the foundations of NVC – practice receiving ourselves and others empathically, expressing ourselves honestly. NVC can give us a new perspective for our lives. We reflect, create, let go, relax, heal, restore, learn, practice, and experience life together – the intention is to make life more wonderful for us all!

July 5, 2019 @ 12:00 am - July 12, 2019 @ 12:00 am

What will we do?

During morning workshops 9.30am – 1.00pm, we learn the basics of  NVC, practice receiving ourselves and each other empathically, expressing ourselves honestly, in a supportive environment for learning.

You will work alone, in pairs, small groups and as a whole group.

We cover the NVC Nonviolent Communication  Foundation training, the work of Dr Marshall Rosenberg and deepen this practice using the dance floor processes (created by Bridgette Belgrave and Gina Lawrie) and various activities too:

  • Understand the basic premise of NVC
  • Shift from judgemental thinking to connect with the essential needs which drive behaviour in any situation
  • Develop your empathic presence, listening and understanding.
  • Communicate with your inner critic compassionately
  • Become familiar with The NVC Model – 4 elements and 3 modes of connection
  • Transform stuck situations of any description
  • Tune into the wisdom of the body
  • Be with conflict using a dialogue process to support you.
  • Express yourself honestly without insulting others.
  • Face your fears, anger and shame.
  • Embrace compassion, mourning, gratitude and celebration.

You will be invited to share life situations, for the purpose of learning and practicing NVC. It is important that you take some time to consider which experiences, you are open to sharing, prior to joining.

Experience joy and peace.

We move and dance to deepen our practice of the way we respond to life.

Mindful movement and dance work progressively to support you at a cellular level.

The benefits include:

  • A reduction in stress levels;
  • Regulation of emotion.
  • Greater confidence and self-expression
  • Increased empathy and compassion
  • Fun, enjoyment, pleasure and peace

Afternoons are free for you to explore and enjoy the local area. Outings to places of interest can be organised.

BE more fully YOU

Here are a few comments from previous participants:

“Combining NVC with movement and Dance has helped me express myself verbally as well as physically it helped to give me the necessary understanding and empathy to connect with other people.  I have more confidence to be more outgoing and assertive in a positive manner” Patrick, Ireland

“Working closely with you, Tracy, throughout the week was a powerful experience. You gently and softly provided the tools that empowered me to open up and unlock the wisdom and knowledge that was always there. I feel I now know and understand (and love) myself more than ever. A real gift. Thank you.”Catherine, UK
