SUMMARY:NVC and Trauma Level 2 Intermediate training ( 2 x half days) online
DESCRIPTION:Exploring stress and trauma and its relationship to NVC On this weekend 2 session course we will explore stress and trauma and its relationship to NVC. The training will include a mixture of theory and carefully supported practice. You will be given some somatic practices to support you to restore to equilibrium during moments of activation. We will: Explore some current theories and models of stress and trauma Bring awareness to our stress and trauma responses and how they impact our capacity to stay empathic and relational (in NVC consciousness) Explore key needs that relate to trauma Learn some simple techniques and practices for restoring equilibrium\, during moments of our own activation Understand how to accompany others when they are triggered into a stress or trauma response The focus of this workshop is on supporting our awareness of trauma and its relationship to NVC\, rather than on trauma healing. You will be invited to share some of your personal life situations\, for the purpose of learning and practicing NVC. It is important that you take some time to consider which experiences you feel open and safe to share\, prior to joining. If there is anything of a personal nature that you would like the trainers to be aware of prior to joining\, please contact Tracy or Daren via email This is what some participants shared with us: “I gained valuable insight on how to deal with others’ as well as my own trauma and I especially valued the sense of care\, safety and the positive attitude that permeated the training.” Italy “Daren and Tracy facilitated a great course – I feel much more aware of my own responses to trauma and now have very helpful NVC ways of responding better in future.” Jo\, UK This day is led by Tracy Seed and Daren De Witt Tracy has practiced and shared NVC since 2006\, She also has a background in Humanistic Counselling\, Coaching NLP\, Time line therapy and somatic movement and dance practices. SUMMARY:NVC Level 1 Foundation training (3 x 4 hrs) online
DESCRIPTION:Nonviolent Communication aims to help people communicate with respect\, compassion\, and honesty. It leads to people being heard and understood\, finding increased clarity in communication\, and feeling connected to self and others. In this 5 min video\, Dr Marshall Rosenberg (the creator of NVC) explains its purpose. What will we do. We look at both the principles and concepts of NVC\, which are based on active listening\, the intention to do no harm and staying in connection with another person through empathic communication. Nonviolent Communication (also referred to as compassionate\, empathic\, mindful and authentic communication) can support your relationships in the family\, with friends\, colleagues\, and daily interaction with strangers. We cover the 4 components and 2 parts of the model. The four components of NVC are: OBSERVE mindfully recognising triggers that enrich or diminish your relating in some interactions with others Notice and accept what you FEEL in these situations Recognise which NEEDS are met/unmet in this situation. Communicate your REQUESTS and expressions of gratitude and/or concerns clearly\, with confidence. These are the two parts of NVC. Expressing ourselves honestly through the four components Receive the other and ourselves empathetically through the four components Who is this event for? This is what one participant said after the online course: “I felt in good hands with Tracy - she facilitated a safe and supportive space in which all of us could share\, learn\, deepen our NVC practice and be community for the time we were together...she managed our time well...and the course content was immediately applicable to my life and relationships” Julie\, USA "I have always been a little sceptical when it comes to dance and movement. What I learnt during my sessions with Tracy was that by connecting to my body in expressive movement actually connects me with ME. There have been so many instances where my body gives my true thoughts and feelings away\, in ways that I never really understood - until now.
